Lies The Government Told You: Myth, Power, and Deception in American History by Judge Andrew P. Napolitano

Judge Andrew Napolitano’s book highlights seventeen top lies the government has told the American people. Government lies have been accounted for ever since the Declaration of Independence stated that “all Men are created equal,” to recent lies, “We are winning the war on drugs” and “we don’t torture.” His book mentions how the government has become warped into being self serving and if we fear the government and take no action that our freedom is in danger.
In the way our government is going today, there are many questions that this book comes close to answering. There are many eye openers that make sense to why our government and economy has become what it is today. The book shows the positive and negative sides of the American government. Although I do not agree fully on all that is said and find that some of his points are a little misguided, he at the same time has some good points and does a good job by catching the reader’s attention.
If you are into politics and American history, this book is definitely for you.
