Heaven Changed Everything by Todd & Sonja Burpo

Spinning off the well known Heaven is for Real that top the charts as the New York Times Bestseller for over 60 + weeks, Todd and Sonja Burpo compile together a devotional book filled with scripture for each day and deeper insight off of the Heaven is for Real book.

I was eager to read and review Heaven Changed Everyone simply because I wanted more insight after reading Heaven is for Real.  It was a book I couldn't down and just to make the experience of Colton's life with this devotional Todd & Sonja engage you in the daily surprises that they experienced as Colton's experience in Heaven unfolds!  It is a must read after one reads Heaven is for Real!  I do encourage all ages to read this, especially if your searching for a deeper meaning of what Heaven is really like!

Finding God Through Porn!

Surfing For God by Michael John Cusick offers a lot of insight for those who are struggling with lust in a number of different ways.  Michael helps uncover the truth about lustful desires, especially porn.  From biblical reference to personal experience, this book is intended to dig deep into the heart of the matter.  Michael goes into detail how dopamine (a catecholamine neurotransmitter in the central nervous system) is released in the brain and how porn can actually over charge it with dopamine and re wire it's thinking causing lust to become an addiction.  Michael also claims that accountability isn't what we need, but coaching, someone who is willing to say enough is enough and are willing to help fight the addiction. 

I am amazed with the compilation of Surfing For God.  I've read Everyman's Battle, but have found this book to be more direct and captivating.  This is not only a Great read, but a must read for all men or anyone interested in learning more of why lust is such a huge problems for me.  You may even find "triggers" in your life that causes your mind and thoughts to wonder to places unknown.  This will help you know that you're not a loser, and anyone surfing the net for porn, is actually surfing for God.  I recommend this book to those that want, need or are curious as to why there is a battle in the lives of many dealing with porn or any other form of lust.  If you're struggling, this book has the ability to help you on your road to recovering and finding God's Love in the midst of your struggles!

A New Generation! With a Coming Revelation!

Pastor and Author John Hagee explains how the Power of the Prophetic Blessing is associate with our future and upcoming generation.  We've seen many changes and are about to see a lot more.  Pastor John breaks the book into three sections and eleven chapters from the Prophetic Blessing to Proclaiming the Prophetic Blessing.  John has you ponder on a thought with THINK ON THIS tags throughout the chapters.

I personally like this book for its easy read and understanding of the theological explanation what the Prophetic blessing is and what's to come in the end times.  I would recommend to those who are wanting to dig deeper and learn more about what to come and how it impacts the entire world.

The End Is Near!

This book is indeed only for those who can comprehend theology and not for those who just want a good read, because you won't get it with this.  This book is profound and digs deep into the end times of what is yet to come.  Many natural disasters will happen and nations will rise against nations signaling the time is near.

I would personally recommend to those in theology and needing another perspective of revelations and the signs of the ends times!  It was too dry for me and lost my interest rather fast!  However, if you take time and read it here and there every month you might get somewhere.

Our Favorite Sins by Todd D. Hunter

      

Todd Hunter takes you on a journey through scriptural passages allowing you to take a deeper look into your own life and evaluate yourself mentally, emotionally and physically.  Todd points out various sins that we may encounter on a daily basis and what you can do about them.

     At first I wasn't really impressed with Todd's book but as I read on I became more interested in what he had to say as it pointed out things in my own life.  I found it very helpful with Todd's usage of scripture to back up what he was saying and what the Bible has to say about sins.  It's important for us to realize that sin is evident and as the Bible says God will always provide an escape, but we have to be willing to take it, we must over come, we must master the sin that lurks around and in us.

Heaven is for Real Conversation Kit by Todd Burpo

Based on the #1 New York Times bestseller Heaven is For Real, Todd, Sonja and Colton Burpo shares in a DVD series of their experience of nearly losing their son Colton, as Colton also shares his travel to Heaven during his operation.  You will enjoy five 10 – 18 minute video conversation starters before jumping into group discussion with the conversation guide, which is full of questions and scriptures of topics about Heaven.    

This was better than I expected it to be.  The video interviews helped me to get to know the Burpo’s more on a personal level. So many people wonder if they are legit, if that can’t see that they are, then little faith they have.  I think this study will help a lot of people to get their minds situated on preparing for Heaven and realizing we all have a purpose to share Jesus with others to those around us will have a chance to make the decision to accept Christ and have Heaven to look forward too.  I think to many of us acknowledge Heaven with our lips but think of it no more than just an imagination.   I recommend everyone of all ages to join in on this conversation DVD series.

We struggle with hurts all the time, it seems that in life we are either coming out of a crisis, in a crisis or going into a crisis, this book has the ability to get your down the road of recovery…that is if you choose to apply the steps that are in this book to your life.  I’m considering using this book as a future study guide in my men’s group, I enjoy this book because it challenges the reader to examine their own life and realize they have some important and even difficult choices to make that will either help heal the hurt, or lead them down the path of regret.  I recommend this book to anyone who has a hurt and needs the “…power to heal—physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.”
