Jeff Kinley, a pastor, speaker and
author takes a counselor’s perspective on killing zombie’s. Well, that is the story line of the book, but
it also has a unique twists by adding a spiritual and biblical follow up of
each chapter, wish also a study guide in the back. Jeff has counseled many people and have often
received the response that the sin people deal with is like a Zombie living
inside them. Jeff goes chapter by
chapter with a fictional story and then a follow up afterwards to help the
reader slay any Zombie that may be lurking inside themselves.
When I first saw the cover of this book and why Jeff wrote
it, I thought it was an impressive move, however, although there is a content
warning on the back that some scenes and descriptions in this book are not
suitable for younger audience, I questioned why evening adding the scenes and
descriptions when this book, along with the title and cover, is going to attract
to most younger audiences. I understand
the intentions of reaching out to the certain audience, but does it have to be
as graphic as the worldly books out there?
That’s the main problem I have with this book, will it actually help
someone in their spiritual walk with Christ while implementing gory scenes into
their minds?
